My yoga journey began in 1982 while living in Sarasota, Florida; first learning the Bikram yoga style and soon after teaching what I had discovered. A friend passing through town a few years later introduced me to the Ashtanga yoga practice being taught in California at the time. Intrigued I went to study with Beryl Bender Birch (author of Power Yoga), and Tim Miller; and in 1999 traveled to Ibiza, Spain to study the Dynamic Yoga Method with Godfrey Devereux. Now that was a grand adventure. I returned home to New Jersey with a 500-hour certification in his safe and effective vinyasa flow style. I had found the missing pieces to my training come together with Godfridev’s special emphasis on utilizing the 5 Techniques of Yoga with the 5 Elements of Nature and understanding the internal use of Bandhas (energy locks), Breath and Dynamic energy.

I currently teach yoga classes at several locations in northwest New Jersey. You can see my schedule below and you are always welcome to come and take class.
