“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” Antoine de Saint-Exupery
I was laying here thinking today how doggies are bred for their looks and temperament when in fact we are born to love. If only humans would understand that and let us do our jobs, we could fill the world with love. Do you find that a silly thought? My experience with humans is that they do not love themselves enough and struggle with loving each other. The judging, blaming, criticizing, mistrusting self abounds in the human species and we doggies just love, period.
We express our love with loyalty and affection or viciousness and attack depending on how you train us. It is similar to how human parents train their children to be grounded, well balanced individuals with an open, loving heart; or you create a monster, dark and intent on doing harm. Of course there are so many levels in between as there are with animals.
Neglect and abuse; abandon, starve or beat a dog, but kindness and care, goes a long way to changing his nature. Love is the key to understanding the whole universe and I, Maya, a humble Cairn terrier (hmm, is that possible?), am here to share this with you.
